Here's some more info Cameron's Ball Marker
Here's the quick story with this new ball marker.
A few years ago I was coaching a young kid full time. He was a very good golfer but did struggle with his putting quite a bit.
And he was obsessed with lining his ball up to the intended target. And while I thought he would do better without stuffing around with his lining up routine, he persisted with it.
And some days it took him 3 or over 4 goes to get the alignment right. All this added more time to his routine and none of this was helping him.
One day I suggested that we change the way he marked his golf ball. Instead of one single line, I suggested 3 thicker lines. We found a makeshift way of doing this and it had an immediate effect.
I then had a brainwave and thought about adding a line that would assist in helping get the clubface square to the intended target. This was a stroke of genius if I may say so myself.
Now, my little student was able to line his ball up much more quickly and easily AND also get his clubface square to the target.
This gave him a boost of confidence and there was certainly an improvement in his putting. Also, he started playing more quickly which is also a good thing.
The Creation of a Better Golf Ball Marker
Let me tell you, it's almost impossible to draw these lines on a golf ball without an aide. You can try, but it's mighty difficult.
And I thought creating a little plastic device like this would be easy.
I was in for a shock, that's for sure.
I have had around 30 iterations on this one little unit. I've spent a fortune on 3D printing and many sample units. But finally, after nearly giving up, I have now got a working ball marker device.
Another issue
I have had these new aides for a few weeks now and was in for a surprise when I went to post one. The cost of shipping these outside of Australia is just crazy. Some of it has to do with Covid because all items need tracking now - but the cost of shipping has certainly gone up.
What I thought would be around $10 to post to the USA, it is now closer to $30!
I was too embarrassed to advertise at this price (thought people would think I was going the rip) so I have come up with another idea. I've decided to package up my Drive Launcer and ChipMaster Pro and include the new Ball Marker with it.
Strangely enough, I can ship all these items together for nearly the same shipping cost as the little Ball Marker by itself. This way, the shipping cost is less of a factor.
Plus, you'll get two great training aides that will help your driving and chipping respectively. And, I'll be doing it at a great price too.
Note: I have just found another driving tool that was created on what I think is one of the best driving lessons ever created. I can't say too much, but if you're keen, I will include this new tool with your order. This way you'll have TWO driving tools for a very special price.
I have included some vids below of my training devices so you can see what you're getting.
