There is a big problem with this strategy:
By the time you realise the fear is not real, it could be too late. You could have wasted your best golfing years. The reason you’re afraid is that you’re on the edge – ready to step into the unknown and potentially play “remarkable” golf. This is what you’re looking for. So when you start feeling a little scared it’s time to take a deep breath and go for it. This is no time to hold back and play safe. Fear is the gateway to better golf – so learn to like the feeling of uneasiness.
Become aware of the fear, but don’t let it get the better of you.
